PARIS




 Paris is the capital of France, the largest country of Europe with 550 000 km2 (65 millions inhabitants).
Paris has 2.234 million inhabitants end 2011. She is the core of Ile de France region (12 million people).
Founded more than 2000 years ago, Paris is a modern and vibrant city with significant commercial, cultural, academic, scientific, administrative activity.

PRAGUE





Hundred - towered Prague, Golden Prague, Magical Prague - these are just some of the names linked to a place that is often considered the Heart of Europe.
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is situated on the Vltava river. The capital has the largest number of tourist attractions ranging from medieval buildings, museums up to dozens of annual cultural and social events.

MONACO



Interesting Facts About Monaco
  • Monaco is the second smallest country in the world.
  • It takes only 56 minutes for the average person to walk the width of the entire country!
  • Monaco is known as a ‘city-state’. This means that it is a country with all the population living in one city.
  • Only 33,000 people live in Monaco. Most people who live in Monaco are wealthy foreigners as Monaco does not tax individuals.
  • The Monaco Gran Prix has been held in Monaco since 1929. It takes six weeks to set up the circuit and three weeks to remove it!
  • The official currency is the euro. It was introduced in 2002.
  • The official religion is Roman Catholicism. The constitution provides for freedom of other religions.
  • There are about 1,500 Jewish people living in Monaco.
  • The flag is identical to the Indonesian flag.
  • Monaco has no navy or air force. They have a small military with just over 100 people.
  • Monaco has the highest number of police per person than any country (just over 500 police for 33,000 people).
  • Monaco is the world’s smallest French speaking country.
  • France are responsible for defending Monaco if it is attacked by another nation.

VENICE





Venice really is built on water. The people of the Veneto region built the city on a salt marshland at the mouth of the Adriatic Sea.  The “official” date of the birth of Venice is the 25 March 421.
Venice has around 150 canals connected by 409 bridges, and over 3000 alleyways on the 117 islands. Basically every time you see a bridge it is connecting two islands.
